Outreach Ministries

Our parish community is a part of the wider local community, and we participate in the mission of  reaching out to those in need, sharing the example of Jesus Christ by spiritual and corporal works of mercy.

The outreach to the community is given on a case-by-case need on a weekly basis. This group offers donations of various kinds to be dispensed to the disadvantaged of the area who find themselves in situations of urgent need.

Donations and monthly dinners to the Homeless Shelter are also part of the ministry of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. 

Our St. Vincent de Paul Society meets monthly.

Our parish community supports the Lorain Family Outreach Center on Eighth Street.

Food and donations for the center are collected at all Masses on the third weekend of each month. 
 

This organization works to maintain a true missionary vision in the Church.

The group promotes a greater awareness of the mission activity of the Church, and works to support the Mission financially. The group meets bimonthly; some projects require extra participation.

The Lorain County Serra Club has been active for many years. The primary ministry of this group is prayer for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Serra Club meets on the third Monday of the month at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Elyria.
