Proclaiming the Word of God

These ministers proclaim the Word of God at liturgies.

The ministry of Lector requires skill in public reading, knowledge of the principles of liturgy, and an understanding and love of the scriptures. Lectors should thoroughly prepare themselves to proclaim the Word of God through study, prayer, and practice.
