- Present at the meeting were Noel & Beth Kukucka, Father Chuck Henkle, Bill Bengle, Carl and Catherine Niedzwiecki, Janice Good and Jim Berry
- Fr. Chuck talked about “Living Wills” versus “Durable Powers of Attorney of Healthcare.” He explained some of the differences.
- Fr. Chuck suggested that the Respect Life Group may want to host a session for the parish to help people fill out forms for “Living Wills.” He suggested that we consider doing something in the fall.
- The spiritual adoption of the Lorain County Family Planning Service has been accepted by the Parish. It appeared in the bulletin. The group agreed that we should continue to repeat the message to pray for this intention.
- Bill presented a copy of the Family Planning Service the rest of the story from the Lorain County Right to life. He also presented figures on who is funding the Family Planning Service.
- The Ohligers will present on Natural Family Planning at our next meeting on May 26.
- Inserts were in the bulletin the week before Easter with Respect life issues.
- The “Choose Life” program will start in the fall in grades 6-8.Ms. Fabanich approved the 6 week program. It was suggested that we invite Emily back in the fall to review the success of the program. Next step will be to expand the program into PSR.
- Will hold the Mother’s Day carnation sale to benefit Birthright. Will ask the Youth Group to assist in the sale this year.
- Suggested possibly selling prayer cards for Father’s Day for $1 each.
- Looking to have booth at Parish Festival. Possibly to raffle off a baby basket (Fr. Chuck to organize). May consider getting other Parishes Respect Life Groups to help to man the booth.
- Next meeting is scheduled on May 26 at 7:30 PM in the St. Peter’s Room.
