CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Phase I solicitations have begun. Phase II is slated to begin on March 30th. This will include all parishioners along with the parents of the school children. The time frame for Phase II is March 30th through June 30th.

CENTENNIAL UPDATE
A core group of co-chairpersons has been found: Sister Annamae, Marlene Karpinski, Peggy Kernohan, and Anne Petkosek. The group will plan monthly events throughout 2009.

COMMITTEES and ORGANIZATIONS
Chairpersons are still being contacted to update council on their current activities/goals.

PARISH CLUSTERING
Discussions continue concerning the consolidation of seven parishes to three - closings or mergers. Updates of meetings are published in the weekly parish bulletin.

PARISH CENTER RE-NAMING
Council proposes to name the Parish Center in honor of Fr. Ken. Fr. Ken would prefer to postpone this change until his retirement date is announced. He hopes to remain until the Centennial Liturgy next February, and will be discussing with Bishop Lennon the actual date his retirement will take effect. Fr. Ken will suggests that his successor be announced so that he can participate in the Centennial celebrations. When a pastor retires, representatives of the diocese hold meetings at the parish for input. Priests may apply for the position, and the Bishop makes the final decision.

PARISH STEWARDSHIP
The committee continues to keep the parish website updated.

SCHOOL REPORT
Dates for special events in January/February were given. Two sixth graders placed highest on the written portion of the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC GEOGRAPHY BEE, which was given to students in fourth through eighth grades. The ACADEMIC CHALLENGE TEAM continues to prepare for competition.

PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION
From collections conducted among the students/staff, donations were presented to the St. Joseph homeless shelter and a family in critical need.

LITURGY/WORSHIP
Sue Bylicki will coordinate the art and environment plans for the various liturgical seasons.

RCIA
The Rite of Election is scheduled for the First Sunday of Lent. The Scrutinies will take place on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of Lent at the 4:00, 9:00, and noon Masses respectively.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Christmas Masses were well attended, and the collection was generous.

HEALTH MINISTRY
A free seminar on Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney will be held on February 17th, 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Attendees will be able to fill out official forms and have them notarized.

The next council meeting will be Wednesday, February 13th, 7:00 PM.
