The spiritual formation of all the members of the community is essential to the growth and development of the parish. In order to come to a deeper understanding of our faith, we reflect on the message of the Scriptures and study the traditions and teachings of the Church. The parish community offers the following opportunities for religious education and formation of its members.
SAINT PETER SCHOOL
Volunteers assist in many school programs on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis. Some tasks require specialized skills, talents, and abilities. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: office, library, music, computer, cafeteria, playground, celebrations, clinic, maintenance, and parking lot.

PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION
The parish provides religious education opportunities for the children of the parish who attend public schools. Classes for preschool are held on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 Mass. Classes for grades one through six are held on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30. Volunteers are needed as catechists, substitutes, aides, and office help. Volunteers are also needed for the Childrens Catechumenate, held during Lent.
CONFIRMATION
Young people preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation meet on four Sunday mornings through the year, and have a retreat day before the Confirmation ceremony. Volunteers are needed for the team, and to help with special events through the process.
INFANT BAPTISM PREPARATION
The arrival of a new baby is a happy occasion for the entire parish family. Expectant parents will want to prepare for Baptism before the birth of their child. Every other month, a session is held for parents. Volunteers are needed to help with the bi-monthly sessions.

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults are brought into the Church through the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The process begins in the fall, and culminates in the celebration of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. A team of volunteers meets every week with those who are preparing for initiation, and on other occasions to plan special activities.
SCRIPTURE STUDY
The parish has a regular Scripture Study program that meets weekly in the fall and spring. Individuals are needed to help as group leaders. Training is provided.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
In the early summer, the parish sponsors a weeklong Bible School for children ages four through ten. Many volunteers are needed to serve as group leaders, activity organizers, aides, and assistants with the various activities of the week.
YOUTH MINISTRY
For the youth of our parish community, a variety of activities and programs are needed.
The Youth Ministry program is currently
being re-evaluated. Ideas and suggestions are
welcome.
Grades 7 and 8 continue to meet Thursday
evenings in the Parish Center.
